Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Aug 30, 2019

The week of Aug 26, 2019 saw the price of live cattle end at 98.925. Compared to last week’s ending price of 99.4 the price of live cattle dropped by 0.5%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Aug 30, 2019 when the price was at 98.925.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 9.3%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 109.075 and have since dropped to 98.925.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2018, live cattle prices were at 112.375. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 12%.

On May 18, 2018, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 106.325.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 101317. Its worst performing day came on Aug 28, 2019, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 17761.
