Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Dec 09, 2022

The week of Dec 05, 2022 saw the price of live cattle end at 155.55. Compared to last week’s ending price of 155.875 the price of live cattle dropped by 0.2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Dec 07, 2022 when the price was at 153.55.

Between Nov 09, 2022 and Dec 09, 2022 the price of live cattle rose by 0.9%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 154.15 and have now jumped to 155.55.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2021, the price was at 143.85. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 8.1%.

On Sep 13, 2021, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 136.5.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 116174. Its worst performing day came on Dec 05, 2022, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 16215.
