Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Dec 22, 2017

The week of Dec 18, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 118.575. Compared to last week’s ending price of 121.025 the price of live cattle dropped by 2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Dec 22, 2017 when the price was at 118.575.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 5.5%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 125.475 and have since dropped to 118.575.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 100.35. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 18.2%.

On Nov 07, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.275.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 107819. Its worst performing day came on Dec 21, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 16120.
