Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Feb 03, 2017

The week of Jan 30, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 115.625. Compared to last week’s ending price of 117.325 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.4%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Feb 01, 2017 when the price was at 113.7.

Between Jan 03, 2017 and Feb 03, 2017 the price of live cattle rose by 1.5%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 113.95 and have now jumped to 115.625.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2016, live cattle prices were at 120.45. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 4%.

On Oct 13, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 97.35.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 118179. Its worst performing day came on Feb 03, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 16005.
