Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Feb 09, 2018

The week of Feb 05, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 123.625. Compared to last week’s ending price of 126.125 the price of live cattle dropped by 2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Feb 09, 2018 when the price was at 123.625.

Between Jan 09, 2018 and Feb 09, 2018 the price of live cattle rose by 3.4%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 119.525 and have now jumped to 123.625.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 101.975. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 21.2%.

On Jan 31, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 99.25.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 113660. Its worst performing day came on Feb 07, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 19590.
