Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Feb 23, 2018

The week of Feb 19, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 124.85. Compared to last week’s ending price of 127.65 the price of live cattle dropped by 2.2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Feb 23, 2018 when the price was at 124.85.

Between Jan 23, 2018 and Feb 23, 2018 the price of live cattle rose by 0%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 124.8 and have now jumped to 124.85.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 102.75. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 21.5%.

On Jan 31, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 99.25.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 100573. Its worst performing day came on Feb 23, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 18739.
