Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Jan 20, 2017

The price of live cattle as of Friday was 118.975 and last Friday it was at 117.925, meaning the price of live cattle increased by 0.9% in one week.

Jan 19, 2017 saw live cattle see its highest performance at 119.875.

Between Dec 20, 2016 and Jan 20, 2017 the price of live cattle rose by 4.5%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 113.825 and have now jumped to 118.975.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 115.5. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 3%.

Live cattle's best performance came on Jan 06, 2016 when it was at 122.75.

The total volume for the week of Jan 16, 2017 saw live cattle’s total volume at 90375. Live cattle’s best day of the week came on Jan 17, 2017 when it was at 23448.
