Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Jul 07, 2017

The week of Jul 03, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 114.775. Compared to last week’s ending price of 116.3 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.3%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Jul 05, 2017 when the price was at 113.55.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 7.6%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 124.175 and have since dropped to 114.775.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 105.525. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 8.8%.

On Oct 13, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 90.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 116359. Its worst performing day came on Jul 03, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 20110.
