Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Jul 13, 2018

The week of Jul 09, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 104.55. Compared to last week’s ending price of 106.375 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.7%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Jul 11, 2018 when the price was at 103.85.

Between Jun 13, 2018 and Jul 13, 2018 the price of live cattle rose by 0.6%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 103.9 and have now jumped to 104.55.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2017, live cattle prices were at 109.5. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 4.5%.

On Apr 24, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 103.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 184303. Its worst performing day came on Jul 13, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 31295.
