Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Jul 19, 2019

The week of Jul 15, 2019 saw the price of live cattle end at 108.5. Compared to last week’s ending price of 109.975 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.3%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Jul 18, 2019 when the price was at 108.25.

Between Jun 19, 2019 and Jul 19, 2019 the price of live cattle rose by 2.3%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 106.1 and have now jumped to 108.5.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2018, live cattle prices were at 112.85. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 3.9%.

On May 18, 2018, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 106.325.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 97884. Its worst performing day came on Jul 19, 2019, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 13937.
