Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Jun 09, 2017

The week of Jun 05, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 123.85. Compared to last week’s ending price of 126.05 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.7%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Jun 06, 2017 when the price was at 123.6.

Between May 09, 2017 and Jun 09, 2017 the price of live cattle rose by 2.7%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 120.65 and have now jumped to 123.85.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 108.25. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 14.4%.

On Oct 13, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 90.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 121100. Its worst performing day came on Jun 09, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 20424.
