Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Jun 23, 2017

The week of Jun 19, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 115.275. Compared to last week’s ending price of 118.175 the price of live cattle dropped by 2.5%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Jun 22, 2017 when the price was at 114.275.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 5%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 121.325 and have since dropped to 115.275.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 104.975. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 9.8%.

On Oct 13, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 90.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 110853. Its worst performing day came on Jun 23, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 17689.
