Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Mar 16, 2018

The week of Mar 12, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 111.75. Compared to last week’s ending price of 114.3 the price of live cattle dropped by 2.2%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Mar 16, 2018 when the price was at 111.75.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 5.8%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 118.675 and have since dropped to 111.75.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 97.7. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 14.4%.

On Mar 07, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.45.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 125811. Its worst performing day came on Mar 16, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 20376.
