Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Mar 29, 2024

The week of Mar 25, 2024 saw the price of live cattle end at 178.675. Compared to last week’s ending price of 182.9 the price of live cattle dropped by 2.3%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Mar 26, 2024 when the price was at 178.375.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 1.4%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 181.225 and have since dropped to 178.675.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2023, the price was at 169.5. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 5.4%.
