Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Mar 30, 2018

The week of Mar 26, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 102.575. Compared to last week’s ending price of 106.2 the price of live cattle dropped by 3.4%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Mar 29, 2018 when the price was at 102.575.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 11.3%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 115.6 and have since dropped to 102.575.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 98.4. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 4.2%.

On Mar 07, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.45.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 123007. Its worst performing day came on Mar 28, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 27305.
