Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending May 04, 2018

The week of Apr 30, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 106.05. Compared to last week’s ending price of 107 the price of live cattle dropped by 0.9%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on May 02, 2018 when the price was at 104.85.

Between Apr 04, 2018 and May 04, 2018 the price of live cattle rose by 3.6%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 102.325 and have now jumped to 106.05.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2017, live cattle prices were at 109.05. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 2.8%.

On Mar 07, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.45.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 173303. Its worst performing day came on May 04, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 23179.
