Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending May 18, 2018

The week of May 14, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 98.225. Compared to last week’s ending price of 104.425 the price of live cattle dropped by 5.9%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on May 18, 2018 when the price was at 98.225.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 6.6%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 105.15 and have since dropped to 98.225.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2017, live cattle prices were at 105. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 6.5%.
