Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending May 22, 2026

The week of May 18, 2026 saw the price of live cattle end at 239.6. Compared to last week’s ending price of 247.925 the price of live cattle dropped by 3.4%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on May 21, 2026 when the price was at 239.35.

Between Apr 22, 2026 and May 22, 2026 the price of live cattle rose by 0.2%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 239.175 and have now jumped to 239.6.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2025, the price was at 198.125. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 20.9%.

On Mar 03, 2025, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 184.25.
