Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Nov 02, 2018

The week of Oct 29, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 117.075. Compared to last week’s ending price of 118.4 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.1%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Oct 30, 2018 when the price was at 116.8.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 2%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 119.475 and have since dropped to 117.075.

Live cattle has also seen price drops since last year. Around this time in 2017, live cattle prices were at 117.45. The change in prices from last year equal a decrease of 0.3%.

On Aug 10, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 105.925.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 142649. Its worst performing day came on Nov 02, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 24029.
