Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Nov 17, 2017

The week of Nov 13, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 124.675. Compared to last week’s ending price of 126.75 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.6%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Nov 17, 2017 when the price was at 124.675.

Between Oct 17, 2017 and Nov 17, 2017 the price of live cattle rose by 3.8%. At this time last month, prices for live cattle were at 120.15 and have now jumped to 124.675.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 97.975. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 27.3%.

On Nov 07, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 96.275.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 114974. Its worst performing day came on Nov 16, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 15666.
