Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Nov 30, 2018

The week of Nov 26, 2018 saw the price of live cattle end at 120.5. Compared to last week’s ending price of 120.925 the price of live cattle dropped by 0.4%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Nov 29, 2018 when the price was at 120.275.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 1.5%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 122.3 and have since dropped to 120.5.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2017, the price was at 116.725. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 3.2%.

On Aug 31, 2017, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 108.225.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 118525. Its worst performing day came on Nov 28, 2018, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 16587.
