Live Cattle Commodity Update for the Week Ending Sep 01, 2017

The week of Aug 28, 2017 saw the price of live cattle end at 105.15. Compared to last week’s ending price of 106.925 the price of live cattle dropped by 1.7%.

The lowest price point for live cattle during the week occurred on Sep 01, 2017 when the price was at 105.15.

In the span of a month, the price of live cattle dropped by 6.8%. At this time last month, live cattle was at 112.875 and have since dropped to 105.15.

Live cattle has also seen an improvement from last year. At this time in 2016, the price was at 100. The change in prices from a year ago represents an increase of 5.2%.

On Oct 13, 2016, live cattle had its worst day as far as markets go when it was at 91.75.

Live cattle’s total volume for the week was 124177. Its worst performing day came on Aug 30, 2017, when the commodity saw its weekly low of 19677.
