The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) has announced the winners of its 2026 industry awards, recognizing leadership and innovation in agricultural marketing. This year’s honorees include Brian Knifong, Tom Posta, and Emily Metz, who have made significant contributions to the agri-marketing sector.

“These leaders represent the innovation, strategic thinking and commitment that continue to move agriculture forward,” said Jennifer Pickett, CEO of the National Agri-Marketing Association. “Brian, Tom and Emily are strengthening agribusiness and advancing the agri-marketing profession while inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders.”

Brian Knifong, Head of Marketing and Customer Experience at Nutrien Ag Solutions, has been named Agribusiness Leader of the Year. He leads a large marketing team that supports one of North America’s biggest agricultural retail networks.

Known for his people-focused leadership, Knifong promotes teamwork, mentorship, and collaboration. He recently improved marketing efficiency through organizational restructuring and ensured strategies align with real farmer needs.

Earlier in his career, he helped launch 55 products and contributed to revenue growth exceeding $1 billion. He also mentors students and young leaders through programs like FFA and other agricultural organizations.

Tom Posta, President and COO of Bader Rutter, has received the Marketer of the Year award. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has guided one of the largest agricultural marketing agencies through industry changes.

Posta has modernized operations and introduced advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve marketing performance. Under his leadership, the company has expanded into new sectors like food, beverages, and pet care. He has also supported NAMA for over three decades, serving in key leadership roles and helping strengthen the agri-marketing community.

Emily Metz, President and CEO of the American Egg Board, has been named Ag Association Leader of the Year. She has introduced a data-driven approach that uses analytics and consumer insights to improve marketing results. Her leadership has helped generate strong returns for egg farmers.

Metz also guided the industry through challenges such as avian influenza and launched a national crisis communication program. She further encouraged innovation through initiatives like the Eggcelerator Lab and risk management programs.

These leaders continue to shape the future of agricultural marketing through innovation, leadership, and strong industry commitment.
