NAWG introduces new leadership team for 2026 during annual Commodity Classic in San Antonio
Last week, the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) introduced its new officer team during the 2026 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas.
Commodity Classic is presented in collaboration with the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG), the National Sorghum Producers (NSP), and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). The event is owned and produced by a partnership of major U.S. agricultural organizations, led by the American Soybean Association (ASA) and the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA).
The newly elected NAWG officers will serve one‑year terms as they continue the association’s mission to advance the priorities of wheat growers across the United States.
The 2026 officer team includes:
- Jamie Kress, Idaho – President
- Nathan Keane, Montana – Vice President
- Chris Tanner – Treasurer
- Auston Andersen, Colorado – Secretary
In addition, Pat Clements of Kentucky transitions into the role of Past President. The officer slate was formally elected on January 16, 2025, during NAWG’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
“We are excited to welcome this dedicated and accomplished group of leaders to NAWG’s officer team,” said NAWG CEO Sam Kieffer. “Their experience, commitment, and passion for agriculture will strengthen our advocacy efforts and help us advance policies that support wheat farmers and rural communities nationwide.”
The leadership team now begins its work representing wheat growers on national policy, regulatory issues, and initiatives that support the long‑term sustainability and profitability of the U.S. wheat industry.
