CLAAS Xerion 12.650 Combines 650 Horsepower, Fuel Efficiency, and Advanced Technology for High-Performance Farming Operations
The CLAAS Xerion 12.650 is drawing attention for its combination of power, efficiency, and operator comfort, making it a strong option for large-scale farming operations.
Speaking with Farms.com, Tanner Whipps, CLAAS tractor product specialist, highlighted several features that set the machine apart from competing high-horsepower tractors.
Powered by a 650-horsepower engine, the Xerion 12.650 is equipped with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) designed to transfer engine power to the ground with maximum efficiency.
According to Whipps, the integrated engine and transmission software communicate continuously, allowing the tractor to operate at lower engine speeds while maintaining performance. This helps reduce fuel consumption while minimizing engine wear over time.
The Xerion 12 series is also available with the Terra Trac system, which is designed to improve traction and deliver a smoother ride across challenging field conditions.
Whipps noted that customers frequently praise the machine’s ride quality, crediting both the track suspension system and the advanced cab suspension for providing exceptional operator comfort during long working hours.
Hydraulic capability is another standout feature of the Xerion 12.650.
The tractor offers up to 140 gallons per minute of hydraulic flow and includes eight rear remote valves, providing the capacity needed to operate large air seeders and other demanding implements. This versatility allows producers to handle a wide range of field applications with a single machine.
With its focus on fuel efficiency, high performance, advanced suspension, and impressive hydraulic capacity, the CLAAS Xerion 12.650 is designed to meet the needs of modern farming operations seeking productivity and comfort in one powerful package.
