New Holland expands compact utility lineup with three versatile models

New Holland has expanded its compact utility tractor lineup with the introduction of three new WORKMASTER™ models designed for a wide range of agricultural and property management tasks. The new WORKMASTER™ 45C, 50C, and 55C tractors provide operators with greater performance, improved comfort, enhanced attachment options, and modern connectivity features.

The latest additions are aimed at farmers, livestock producers, rural property owners, municipalities, and landscaping professionals looking for versatile equipment that can handle multiple jobs throughout the year. By combining higher power levels with user-friendly features, the new tractors bridge the gap between traditional compact tractors and larger utility machines.

The WORKMASTER™ 45C delivers 47 engine horsepower, while the 50C offers 52 horsepower and the 55C provides 57 horsepower. All three models feature turbocharged 3-cylinder 1.9-liter engines capable of delivering up to 49 PTO horsepower. With a rear hitch lift capacity of 2,320 pounds, the tractors can easily operate a broad range of implements and attachments.

"Compact tractor customers are asking more from a single machine than ever before. The WORKMASTER 45C, 50C and 55C were designed for customers who need more power, more lift capacity and more versatility without stepping into a traditional utility tractor," said Cory Hunt, compact tractor product specialist for New Holland North America.

He added, "We call this range of WORKMASTERs ‘compact utility’ because they give owners the power and confidence to take on bigger jobs, while not losing sight of the size or simplicity of the tractors."

These tractors are designed to support many common farm and rural tasks. Operators can use them for material handling, mowing, livestock feeding, property maintenance, excavation, light construction work, and everyday chores around farms and acreages. Their versatility makes them valuable machines for both agricultural and non-agricultural operations.

Customers can choose between a 12x12 synchronized gear transmission and a 3-speed servo-assisted hydrostatic transmission. The hydrostatic option is designed to reduce operator fatigue by making repetitive forward and reverse movements easier during loader work. An optional electric cruise control kit is also available for added convenience.

Operator comfort was a major focus during development. The redesigned workstation includes a wider platform, improved grab rails, suspended pedals, an upgraded instrument cluster, and a comfortable seating area. These features help reduce fatigue and improve productivity during long working days. An optional rubber floor mat provides additional comfort for operators who spend extended hours in the tractor.

New Holland has also introduced upgraded attachment solutions to increase machine versatility. The new LC Series loaders were developed specifically to work with the WORKMASTER™ tractors and provide efficient material handling performance. These loaders feature simultaneous lift-and-curl functionality, allowing operators to complete jobs more smoothly and efficiently.

The 270LC loader offers a maximum lift height of 110 inches and a lift capacity of 1,697 pounds. This capability makes it suitable for loading materials, moving equipment, and handling everyday farm tasks.

For customers requiring excavation capabilities, the tractors can be equipped with the new 380BC backhoe attachment. The backhoe is available with several bucket options and can reach a maximum digging depth of eight feet. Additional features such as a mechanical thumb expand its usefulness for digging and material handling applications.

Hydraulic performance has also been enhanced. The tractors feature dual hydraulic pumps that ensure consistent power steering operation while running hydraulic implements. A new stackable rear remote valve design allows operators to customize hydraulic functions based on their operational requirements. A live third-function kit can also be added for advanced attachments such as grapples and multipurpose buckets.

Another important feature is factory-ready telematics capability. Owners can add the optional modem system and connect to New Holland's FieldOps platform. This technology provides access to machine tracking, geofencing, maintenance reminders, alerts, and operational history. These tools help owners monitor equipment performance and improve equipment management.

The new WORKMASTER™ tractors reflect the increasing demand for machines that deliver greater capability while remaining easy to operate. By combining power, comfort, versatility, and connectivity, the latest models offer practical solutions for modern agricultural and rural operations.

The WORKMASTER™ 45C, 50C, and 55C are available to order through New Holland dealerships, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2026. The expansion demonstrates New Holland's continued commitment to providing reliable and efficient equipment for customers across North America.
