Acquisition strengthens spray technology and North American growth

Nordson Precision Agriculture has announced the acquisition of CapstanAG, a well-known agricultural technology company based in the United States. This move marks an important step in strengthening Nordson’s position in the precision agriculture industry.

CapstanAG has built a strong reputation for its innovative Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology. This system allows farmers to control spray nozzles individually, improving the accuracy of liquid application. As a result, farmers can reduce waste and increase efficiency in crop production. The technology is widely used in row crops, orchards, seeding operations, and aerial spraying.

"The acquisition of CapstanAG represents a strategic step in our growth journey," said Daniel Neves, vice president of Nordson Precision Agriculture. "CapstanAG strengthens our portfolio of fluid-management solutions and increases our presence in the North American market, further expanding our ability to support customers with cutting-edge technologies."

Through this acquisition, Nordson aims to expand its portfolio of fluid management solutions. Company leaders explained that adding CapstanAG’s expertise will help deliver more advanced and reliable tools to farmers. It also increases Nordson’s presence in the North American market, where demand for precision agriculture technologies continues to grow.

The integration of CapstanAG with Nordson’s existing ARAG product line is expected to bring several benefits. Customers will gain access to a broader range of technologies, along with improved manufacturing capabilities and global support systems. This combination will help farmers adopt smarter and more efficient farming practices.

CapstanAG’s strong connection with equipment manufacturers and its customer-focused approach make it a valuable addition to Nordson’s long-term growth plans. The company’s culture of innovation aligns well with Nordson’s strategic goals.

"The combination of CapstanAG and ARAG will be beneficial to our customers and employees by having access to global infrastructure," said Jeff Grimm, director of operations at CapstanAG. "In addition, access to world-class components and manufacturing capabilities will allow us to better serve our customers."

Officials from both companies believe that this partnership will lead to better products and services. By combining expertise and resources, they aim to provide high-quality solutions that support sustainable and precise farming.

Overall, this acquisition highlights Nordson’s commitment to innovation and international expansion. It also reinforces its role as a key player in developing technologies that help farmers improve productivity while reducing environmental impact.
