Award recognizes advanced irrigation system that improves water efficiency

Reinke Manufacturing has earned the 2026 Irrigation Innovation of the Year award for its E3 center pivot irrigation system. The recognition came from the seventh annual AgTech Breakthrough Awards, which celebrate companies developing technology that improves modern agriculture.

The E3 system was created to help growers use water more efficiently while supporting stronger crop yields. The irrigation design focuses on delivering accurate and consistent water applications across different field conditions. By improving water distribution, the system helps farmers maximize production while reducing waste.

"Innovation only matters when it solves a real problem for growers," said Chris Roth, president of Reinke. "E3 was designed from the ground up to give growers precision control over their water application; setting a new standard for how irrigation systems perform in the field. To be recognized with an AgTech Breakthrough Award affirms what our team set out to build--equipment that helps growers maximize yield potential while conserving one of their most valuable resources."

A key feature of the E3 platform is its uniform coupler spacing, available in 30-inch and 60-inch intervals. This design helps provide even water application throughout the entire irrigation system. The technology also exceeds important water uniformity standards established for center pivot irrigation.

The E3 system includes several advanced features designed to improve performance and reliability. Farmers can choose from multiple span and end boom configurations to match field needs. The ReinLock anti-racking truss system adds strength and stability, helping equipment perform well in challenging conditions. In addition, specialized V-ring seals help maintain water flow for more precise irrigation.

"Some of the most consequential innovations in agriculture is in the hardware that has defined a category for decades, quietly re-engineered to do its core job better," said Bryan Vaughn, managing director, AgTech Breakthrough. "Reinke stood out for rethinking the center pivot itself, engineering uniform water application into the structure of the machine rather than treating it as an add-on. E3 is a deserving winner of our 2026 "Irrigation Innovation of the Year" award."

According to Reinke, the system was developed to address real-world challenges faced by growers. The company focused on providing greater control over water application while improving irrigation efficiency and equipment durability.

The AgTech Breakthrough Awards recognize innovations that support sustainable food production and modern farming practices. Award organizers highlighted the E3 system for integrating water uniformity into the structure of the machine rather than relying on additional upgrades. This approach helps improve irrigation performance while conserving valuable water resources.
