New AgExpert feature helps farmers track data and sustainability goals

Croptimistic Technology Inc. has partnered with Farm Credit Canada (FCC) to support sustainable farming through the integration of SWAT MAPS with FCC’s AgExpert software. This collaboration is part of FCC’s Sustainability Incentive Program and gives farmers a reliable way to manage field data and track their sustainable practices.

Through this new integration, AgExpert Field Premium users can sync their SWAT MAPS information directly into the AgExpert platform. SWAT MAPS, which stands for soil, water, and topography, provides detailed field data that helps farmers understand their land better. By combining both systems, farmers can plan more effectively, keep accurate records, and track eligibility for FCC’s 4R Incentive, which rewards strong nutrient management practices.

Leaders from both organizations highlighted their shared commitment to sustainability. “FCC’s ongoing commitments to promoting sustainable agriculture align extremely well with Croptimistic's sustainability strategy,” said Bonnie Dobchuk, Sustainability Director at Croptimistic. “We are both aligned in wanting to see farmers rewarded for excellent nutrient management practices, which are known to reduce nutrient losses to the environment, including via greenhouse gas emissions.”

With the integration, field boundaries, acreages, and agronomic activities—such as fertilizer applications—move automatically into AgExpert Field. This reduces manual data entry for producers and keeps information consistent across tools. Farmers benefit from accurate, up-to-date field records that make daily management more efficient and informed.

FCC representatives shared their enthusiasm for the partnership. “FCC is committed to advancing sustainability in Canadian agriculture,” said Colin Brisebois, Vice-President Product and Market Strategies. “By partnering with SWAT MAPS and integrating with AgExpert, we’re making it easier to recognize producers for their adoption of practices that benefit their land, business, and the environment.”

“FCC and Croptimistic are both aligned in wanting to see farmers rewarded for excellent nutrient management practices. Plus, we’re always looking for ways to make farming easier and more informed,” said Cory Willness, CEO at Croptimistic Technology. “Working with FCC to integrate SWAT MAPS with AgExpert gives farmers a powerful way to bring their data together and make the most of their sustainable practices.”

Overall, the partnership highlights a shared effort to support sustainability, improve nutrient stewardship, and offer practical tools that make farming smarter and more efficient.
