Farm bill leadership and workforce reforms earn recognition from the U.S. pork industry
The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) has presented U.S. House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn "G.T." Thompson with its inaugural "Bringing Home the Bacon" award. “America’s pig farmers’ sincerest thanks go to Chairman Thompson for having the courage to stand up for our freedom to farm,” said NPPC President Rob Brenneman, a pork producer from Washington County, Iowa. “Writing, shepherding, and passing a solid, bipartisan farm bill is no small accomplishment, and we’re grateful for your leadership during challenging times in rural America.”
