In early May, the JBS pork plant in Worthington, Minn. unveiled its reopening protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The plant’s new operating procedures included hiring a deep cleaning staff, using skeleton crews, and euthanizing hogs instead of processing them.
The plant reopened after President Trump issued an executive order under the Defense Production Act to keep processing plants operational.
