Moreland Farms uses Case IH precision technology to improve efficiency, optimize inputs, and support sustainable farming for future generations

Advances in precision agriculture, automation, and connected technologies are giving producers new ways to improve productivity while managing resources more efficiently and sustainably.
CNH’s latest edition of its A Sustainable Year digital series highlights Moreland Farms, a fourth-generation farming operation spanning Oklahoma and southern Kansas.
The feature explores how the family has integrated Case IH precision technologies into its daily operations to improve field management, boost efficiency, and support long-term stewardship of its farmland.
Moreland Farms relies on several digital tools, including Case IH FieldOps, AIM Command FLEX II, and AccuSync. FieldOps combines machinery and field information into a single digital platform, giving operators access to valuable operational data.
AIM Command FLEX II enhances spraying accuracy by adjusting individual nozzle output, while AccuSync enables multiple machines to work together seamlessly in the same field, helping minimize overlaps and missed areas.
For Matt Moreland, adopting precision technology is about more than automating daily tasks. It also provides valuable insights that guide future management decisions and strengthen the farm’s sustainability efforts.
“The technology of guidance, precision and application data has allowed us to learn so much,” Moreland said, noting how comparing year-over-year harvest insights allowed them to pinpoint exactly where to optimize nitrogen applications. “Those changes may be larger than even what my grandma lived through, and they are definitely making us better stewards of the land.”
For spraying, the Moreland family also uses Case IH AIM Command FLEXTM II, which regulates spray volume across each nozzle. These advanced digital solutions can help producers improve efficiency, make informed decisions, manage inputs more effectively. The technology turns individual nozzles on or off and automatically adjusts to field turns by adjusting the spray volume, droplet size and pressure along the boom.
“We don’t have to worry about the things that we had to think about 15 years ago because now our nozzles do it all for us,” he says.
As with the combine, AccuSync allows him to coordinate multiple sprayers. “By running two sprayers together with AIM Command FLEX II, we’re probably a minimum of 15%, possibly 20% more efficient. That’s a big saving in product effectiveness and great stewardship because there’s no over-application anywhere.”
