Out of 1,739 items sold during a May 3 BigIron auction, an excavator sold for the highest price.

The 2020 Volvo EC350EL excavator from Jackson, Neb., sold for US$211,750 (CAD$284,172) to a buyer from the same state after 108 bids.

Farm equipment also accounted for some top items during the auction.

A 2013 John Deere 8285R tractor from Jackson, Neb., sold for US$170,500 (CAD$228,838) to a buyer from the same state after 248 bids.
