Nebraska Extension Research Family Challenges Affecting Agriculture Operations and Wellbeing

A new survey by Nebraska Extension is focusing on the challenges faced by farm and ranch families dealing with divorce, separation, or child custody changes. These situations can affect both family relationships and farm operations, making it important to understand their impact.

The Nebraska Family Farmer and Rancher Divorce Survey is designed to collect valuable information about these experiences. It aims to understand how such life events influence work on farms, financial decisions, and emotional health. The results will help create better support services for agricultural communities.

The survey takes only about 10 minutes to complete and is easy to access online. It includes questions about recent divorce, separation from a spouse or partner, and child custody changes. The information shared by participants will help researchers identify common issues and possible solutions.

The survey is managed by the Methodology and Evaluation Research Core Facility at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. All responses provided by participants will remain strictly confidential. No personal or identifying details will be shared in reports. Instead, responses will be combined to ensure privacy and accurate analysis.

Participation is voluntary, and individuals can choose to take part based on their comfort. Interested participants can access the survey through the official link below:
