AGCO’s Tiina Herlevi Wins Top Award

The Manufacturing Institute, part of the National Association of Manufacturers, recently honored outstanding women leaders through its prestigious Women MAKE Awards. These awards recognize female innovators who are shaping the future of the manufacturing industry and inspiring the next generation to pursue careers in the field. 

Tiina Herlevi has been celebrated for her exceptional leadership and dedication to fostering an inclusive, high-performing work environment. "Tiina's leadership is truly inspiring," said Tim Millwood, Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer. "Her commitment to excellence and her ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment have made a significant impact on our team. Tiina's dedication to mentoring young talent and her innovative approach to problem-solving sets her apart as a remarkable leader in the manufacturing industry." 

Under Tiina’s leadership, AGCO has seen transformative growth in both operational capacity and workplace culture. Major investments have been made in Finland, including the addition of a modern paint shop and expanded production facilities. These improvements helped AGCO earn the Internationalization Award from the President of Finland in 2023, recognizing the company’s commitment to global excellence. 

"I am grateful for the opportunities and challenges I have been offered throughout my life and career," said Herlevi. "The most rewarding accomplishment for me is seeing my team members grow and reach their full potential. I believe in building a positive culture by supporting and challenging people to network cross-functionally and drive for success through true teamwork." 

The Women MAKE Awards highlight women working in science, technology, engineering, and production roles who have made significant achievements within their companies and communities. Tiina’s recognition as AGCO’s 2025 Women MAKE Award winner showcases her lasting impact on the manufacturing sector and her role in inspiring future leaders.

Less than 1% of Americans are farmers. The majority of those farmers are men. Many people have minimal experience with farms and agriculture. High schools are getting rid of their FFA programs and many colleges, including BGSU, do not have agricultural programs or classes. There is a new social media phenomenon where women are making content based on their farming endeavors and gaining lots of traction. Education is the one of the most important parts of agriculture, because the more people know the more they will emphasize with farmers and create policy that benefits everybody. Female farmers have taken to social media sharing their experience in the agricultural world. These women are breaking stereotypes and educating everyday citizens about farming which is extremely important for the future of agriculture. Madalyn is 19 years old and will be gradated with her bachelors degree in communication on December 2024. She lives on a farm and have spent lots of time working in agriculture. She has her own farmers market and love learning about all subjects, especially agriculture. She was on the BGSU Firelands Student government from 2021-2023 as a CCP Ambassador and was awarded the 3&1 communication excellency award in April of 2024. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
