Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba welcomes Robin Young as new executive director

The board of directors of Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba (AITC-M) is pleased to announce Robin Young as the organization’s new executive director, effective September 8, 2026.

“The board of directors and team at Agriculture in the Classroom – Manitoba are excited to welcome Robin Young as executive director,” said Bonnie Bain, AITC-M board president. “Robin has a longstanding passion for ag education and youth. She brings a strong blend of technical grounding, stakeholder and government relations, and strategic leadership.”

Robin joins the organization with an extensive background within the food industry and government relations. She spent the past 19 years with Province of Manitoba, most recently as the director of the Value Added Branch of Manitoba Agriculture. Prior, Robin served as the chief operating officer of the Food Development Centre, as a business development specialist in the department of agriculture.

Robin grew up on a mixed farm in rural Manitoba. She holds a Master of Science in Food Sciences and a certificate in Public Sector Management from the University of Manitoba.

As executive director, Robin joins a talented, skilled, and passionate team at AITC-M, as well as a community of strong supporters, volunteers, and partners. She is looking forward to working closely with the board of directors and staff to ensure AITC-M continues to thrive and grow.
