A total of 92 startups from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras successfully completed the Innova AgriFoodTech incubation program and the Ruta AgriFoodTech acceleration program, led by Zamorano University and IDB Lab through the AgroHub initiative. Of these, 13 startups were selected to receive impact funding in recognition of their innovative solutions, business potential, and progress throughout the programs.
Over six months, both programs provided specialized training, mentorship, and technical and strategic support to help entrepreneurs strengthen businesses across the agrifood sector, including agricultural production, agribusiness, biological inputs, food processing, precision agriculture, and the circular economy.
Innova AgriFoodTech, implemented in partnership with The Yield Lab, supported early-stage startups in turning innovative ideas into viable, sustainable, and scalable businesses. The program focused on validating value propositions, customer development, financial planning, go-to-market strategies, and preparing entrepreneurs to pursue funding opportunities.
Ruta AgriFoodTech, implemented in partnership with Prendho, supported startups with validated business models seeking to strengthen their operations, build financial and commercial capabilities, attract investment, and expand into new markets. Ten high-performing startups with strong growth and impact potential were selected to receive impact funding and specialized support to accelerate their growth and scale their businesses.
