Beef Expo inspires the next generation of cattle producers

The 11th annual Saskatchewan Beef Expo returns to Saskatoon, Sask. this weekend and with it comes learning opportunities for young cattle producers.

Prairieland Park hosts the event as a way to provide platform for producers to develop their skills, gain industry knowledge, and connect with experts in the field through education and hands-on experience.

This year’s Beef Expo will feature renowned cattle expert and clinician Kirk Stierwalt from Leedey, Oklahoma. Stierwalt will kick off the event with a series of demonstrations covering essential industry techniques, including basics and equipment, clipping, and grooming. On the second day, he will lead a hands-on clinic, allowing participants to apply their newly-learned skills under his expert guidance.

The event will conclude with a showmanship demonstration and competition, giving exhibitors the chance to refine their presentation skills and gain valuable experience in the show ring.
