Canada's two major railways hold steady in week 38 grain deliveries: Ag Transport Coalition

The Ag Transport Coalition says Week 38 saw performance improve very modestly from the prior week, with CN seeing a slight improvement and CPKC matching its performance from week 37.

CN and CPKC combined supplied 85% of hopper cars ordered, an improvement from the 84% performance seen in week 37.

System performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a fourteenth consecutive week and remains above the 80% threshold for a second straight week and the fourth time in the last five weeks.

In supplying 88% of cars ordered by shippers in week 38, CN saw performance improve very modestly from the 87% order fulfillment performance seen in week 37.

CN performance remains below the 90% threshold for a third straight week but at 80% or better for a fifth straight week.

In supplying 81% of shipper orders, CPKC saw performance match the performance seen in week 37.

CPKC performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a thirteenth straight week, and remains above the 80% threshold for a second consecutive week and the third time in the last four weeks.
