Canada's two major railways see improved grain delivery in week 40: Ag Transport Coalition

The Ag Transport Coalition reports week 40 saw performance improve from the prior week with CN and CPKC Rail combined supplying 92% of shipper orders, as compared to 84% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.

System performance returns above the 90% threshold for the first time in sixteen weeks, and remains above the 80% threshold for a fourth straight week, and the sixth time in the last seven weeks.

In supplying 89% of cars ordered by shippers in week 40, CN saw performance improve from the 80% order fulfillment performance seen in week 39.

CN performance remains below the 90% threshold for a fifth straight week, but at 80% or better for a seventh consecutive week.

In supplying 95% of shipper orders, CPKC saw performance improve from the 88% order fulfillment performance seen in week 39.

CPKC performance returns above the 90% performance threshold for the first time in fifteen weeks, and remains above the 80% threshold for a fourth consecutive week, and the fifth time in the last six weeks.
