Chairman Thompson, Hill Statement on Senate Vote Against Advancing CLARITY Act

House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-15) and House Committee on Financial Services Chairman French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after the CLARITY Act did not receive the procedural votes to advance for consideration in the U.S. Senate:

"Today’s vote does not change the need for Congress to enact clear rules of the road for the digital asset ecosystem. Only Congress can provide the lasting legal certainty that consumers and businesses need to participate in these markets with confidence and necessary protections.
