Coxreels has expanded and improved upon its V-100 Series product line with the introduction of two new reels.

The V-112-735 reel offers a 1-1/4-inch vacuum hose reel without the hose, while its V-112H-735 option comes with a hose.

Coxreels said its new model features a smaller frame size, with a 12-inch diameter discs rather than the 17-inch variety discs that came with the original.

The new model has been designed for use with 35-feet of 1-1/4-inch vacuum hose.

The outlet connecting to the hose remains at 1-1/2-inches, while the company’s 1-1/4-inch hose comes equipped with 1-1/2-inch slip cuffs on both ends to provide the operator with maximum flow.

Along with the two new models, Coxreels said that the swivel has been improved over its entire product line. While the newly designed swivel will still allow the connection of different hose sizes by using the inside and the outside of the housing, it now offers a greater gradual taper that increases the amount of compatible inlet hose cuffs.

With more hose options now available to the operator, the swivel, said Coxreels, also includes hidden improvements via an enhanced O-ring sealing system that will provide greater vacuum consistency and performance.

The hose has a super flexible “crush-proof” smooth interior hose suitable for commercial cleaning applications, and is equipped with standard 1-1/2-inch threaded hose cuffs on both hose sizes.

Since 1923, Coxreels has continued to manufacture high-quality professional grade hose, cord, and cable reels. American-made, it offers a full product line serving the industry in every channel and application.

Pat Hoffman, Swine Technical Consultant and Elanco Animal Health tells us about the inpact or New World Screwworm. The emergence of New World screwworm in the U.S. creates a threat for veterinarians, livestock producers and pet owners that has not been seen north of the Florida Keys since the fly was eradicated from the United States more than 50 years ago. New World screwworm (Cochliomyia hominivorax) larvae feed on living tissue and can affect a wide range of warm-blooded animals, including livestock, companion animals, wildlife, and even humans.
“New World screwworm could have a devastating impact on animal health, welfare, and producer livelihoods,” said Jeff Simmons, President and CEO, Elanco Animal Health. “We want to thank the FDA, EPA and USDA, for all their work to prepare for this threat. We’re committed to supporting our customers during this challenging time by delivering innovation, scientific expertise, and available resources to help treat New World screwworm and support the health and well-being of animals.”
Elanco is working alongside the U.S. animal health industry to help them fight against this parasite, offering a portfolio of options for pets and livestock that can help treat New World screwworm larvae infestations.
