Deere Leases Altoona Facility to Support Ankeny Operation

Deere & Co. is leasing a 300,000 square foot warehouse in Altoona to support its John Deere Works facility in Ankeny, reports Business Record.

It is a modern office and warehouse space that features 32-foot clearance and ample parking for trailers, Joe Bergman, vice president of development for the St. Paul, Minn.-based firm, told the publication.

While Deere did not get back to Business Record, Bergman said the OEM will use the Altoona warehouse to support the Ankeny manufacturing facility. Altoona and Ankeny are about 13 miles apart.
