Foster Promoted to Publisher of Sales at No-Till Farmer Brands

Longtime account manager Darren Foster has been named Publisher of Sales for No-Till Farmer, the original flagship brand of Lessiter Media Inc., Brookfield, Wis.

Foster will assume the chief revenue duties for No-Till Farmer and the National No-Tillage Conference. He will also retain his key accounts on other LM brands, including Farm Equipment and Precision Farming Dealer.

The Indiana native and Ball State Univ. graduate joined Lessiter Media as an account executive in 2013 and has been instrumental in the expansion of the company’s dedicated niche brands in conservation agriculture, machinery and precision farming.

“Darren is a proven leader in matching unique advertising and sponsorships to customer’ needs,” says Mike Lessiter, President/CEO. “His unique blend of practical farming and manufacturing/distribution experience has earned the trust and respect of his customer base as well as staff and peers. He is deeply familiar with the unique paid-subscribing formula on which No-Till Farmer was founded, and the support needed to deliver on the content-first model  farmers have come to expect.”

No-Till Farmer was launched by Frank Lessiter in 1972. He and the late Pam Lessiter acquired the publication in 1981 and founded their own niche publishing business. The flagship No-Till Farmer brand sired the National No-Tillage Conference (entering its 35th year), Conservation Tillage Guide, Strip-Till Farmer, the National Strip-Tillage Conference, Cover Crop Strategies and the National Strip-Tillage Conference.

Foster frequently attends a variety of key industry conferences, including the National Agri-Marketing Association and other events, and is an active on Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association committees.
