Horizon Ag & Turf, Battle River Implements Announce Merger

Horizon Ag & Turf and Battle River Implements Ltd. announced they were merging operations, effective Nov. 30, 2026. The transaction is subject to due diligence and regulatory review and approval. Both operations have complimentary goals, cultures, and a shared vision for the future. The Battle River Implements locations will be rebranded to Horizon Ag & Turf.

“This partnership is a significant step forward in our strategy to continue to build a strong, relevant business that focuses on taking care of our staff, our customers, and our suppliers, the three pillars of our business. We both have a long successful history in the Agricultural, Construction and Turf businesses, and this is a natural move forward for us” remarked Cam Kay, CEO of Horizon Ag & Turf.

“Battle River Implements and Horizon Ag & Turf are excited to see this opportunity come to fruition. Both teams have built their businesses based on providing premium brands and backing it up with strong values, a love for the business and our communities, and the desire to deliver exceptional experiences for customers“ said Terry Hamilton, General Manager of Battle River Implements. Terry Hamilton will continue to lead the Camrose, Killam, Wainwright and Provost stores in addition to being a director of the company.
