John Deere (NYSE: DE) announced today another addition to the C-Series air cart lineup — the C1450T — the largest capacity option in the C-Series lineup to help farmers achieve more acres between refills. This new air cart includes all the features of other C-Series carts, including AccuRate™ meters, EZCal™ calibration system and precision ag technology to help improve farmer productivity. In addition, the cart has seamless integration into the John Deere Operations Center™, which provides enhanced operational efficiency through precision ag technologies and logistics.
"Seeding windows continue to get tighter, and farmers are looking for ways to cover more ground without adding complexity," said Benjamin Zelle, John Deere marketing manager for seeders and planters. "The C1450T is built to help them scale their operation with increased capacity, so they can stay productive and make the most of every available hour in the field."
C-Series features are designed to enhance precision
Building on the proven performance of the C-Series, the new C1450T includes features that the C-Series air carts are known for, helping improve efficiency and productivity.
AccuRate meters are corrosion-resistant, stainless-steel meters that hold up against abrasive granular fertilizers and seed treatments. The individually controlled, electric meters have the ability to change the speed of each meter, allowing for higher-resolution prescriptions. The meters also allow for Curve Compensation and SectionCommand™ Pro, providing farmers with up to *8x more precision in their seeding practices.
Another feature of the C-Series carts is the industry-exclusive John Deere EZCal™ system — a push-button calibration system that is faster and more efficient than older, manual bag calibration systems, eliminating the need to crawl under the cart to calibrate while also decreasing the back-and-forth steps to complete this task.

"Features like the ActiveCal™ system give operators real-time visibility into product levels and application performance, helping them make in-field adjustments and maintain accuracy without slowing down."
New features for ease of use
To support the increased capacity, a new feature on the C1450T is the EZLift system that allows operators to lift bulk bags to tender directly into tanks 1, 2 and 3. The lift can reach bags on the ground, a trailer, truck bed, or the storage platform. A bulk bag side storage platform provides extra bag storage, helping with efficiency when every minute counts.
Another new feature to make seed handling more efficient is a new 40.64 cm (16 in.) hydraulic conveyor. This longer and wider conveyor allows for faster tendering of product and increased clearance around the rear tires. A stainless-steel hopper decreases maintenance. In addition to the conveyor, the front platform has been redesigned with walk-over stairs for easier access to cross the hitch.
The cart also includes a larger tank 1, the 105 bu Flex Tank. The new Flex Tank increases the versatility of the tank, allowing it to be filled with more than just canola or inoculant. Filling the tank with additional fertilizer or seed increases acres per fill, keeping farmers in the field longer.
The C1450T also includes the addition of a fifth tank. This allows for greater versatility, allowing farmers to mix and match tanks to maximize their acres per fill. This design enables greater ability to blend fertilizer on the cart and increases the maximum number of products the cart can hold to five.
