NAEDA Releases 2023 Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Report

The North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA) is pleased to announce the release of its Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Report for 2023. This annual report is a compilation of anonymous ratings by equipment dealers in North America of the manufacturer lines they carry based on general categories related to the business operations between dealers and manufacturers. Equipment dealers rate their manufacturers in 11 business categories plus a separate rating for overall satisfaction.

The report has been sent to all NAEDA members, who receive a complimentary copy as a benefit of membership, as well as the 62 manufacturers rated in the report. Dealers who are not members of NAEDA can purchase a copy of the report here. Look for in-depth coverage in the September issue of Farm Equipment.

Each year, only the manufacturers who receive minimum numbers of ratings are included in the report. Manufacturer members of NAEDA are eligible to receive additional statistics not available in the basic report as well as their dealer comments.

In 2023...

  • 2,500 individuals participated in the survey.
  • Responses were collected from 50 U.S. states and 9 Canadian provinces.
  • On average, each respondent rated four manufacturers.
  • 84% of responses were from dealership owners or managers.

Before trade and tariffs dominated the conversation, taxation was one of the biggest issues on farmers’ minds last year. From the carbon tax to capital gains, OFA worked with the Canadian Federation of Agriculture and provincial partners to push for fair, practical solutions. We saw progress on carbon tax relief and capital gains, and we continue to advocate for modernized farm tax programs at both the provincial and federal levels.

OFA works to represent the interests of Ontario farmers to all levels of government. Renew your Farm Business Registration (FBR) by March 1/26 and choose OFA so we can continue to support Ontario farmers and their businesses.
