Offering Optimal Comfort and Cut Quality, John Deere Debuts its Premium Z500 ZTrak™ Zero Turn Mowers

John Deere is redefining the premium residential mowing experience with the introduction of its updated Z500 Series ZTrak™ Zero Turn Mowers. Designed for homeowners who expect more from every mow, the new lineup combines the reliable John Deere cut quality and durability customers trust with the brand's smoothest, most refined ride yet. New FlexGlide™ front caster suspension on R-spec models, along with comfort enhancements across the lineup, helps absorb the bumps of uneven terrain for a smoother, more enjoyable mowing experience. Together, these updates help reduce operator fatigue without compromising the performance homeowners expect from John Deere.

Featuring meaningful comfort enhancements across the lineup, the updated Z515E, Z530M, including FlexGlide front caster suspension on Z550R, Z560R and Z565R models help reduce operator fatigue while making mowing more enjoyable, without compromising the performance homeowners expect from John Deere.

"Homeowners are spending more time maintaining their properties, and they deserve a mower that's as comfortable as it is capable," said Eric Halfman, go-to-market manager, riding lawn equipment, John Deere. "The updated Z500 Series delivers meaningful improvements that enhance the overall mowing experience while continuing to deliver the cut quality, durability and premium performance our customers demand."

Built for residential properties up to five acres, the updated Z500 Series introduces comfort-focused enhancements across every model. The Z515E and Z530M feature redesigned high-back seats with additional cushioning and bolstering for greater support throughout the mow. The Z530M also adds ComfortGlide™ seat suspension, while R-spec models introduce FlexGlide front caster suspension paired with a new 24-inch mechanical suspension seat. Together, these features help absorb bumps caused by uneven terrain before they reach the operator, creating a noticeably smoother ride that helps homeowners stay comfortable from start to finish.

Learning to Wrench From Dad the Hard Way

Video: Learning to Wrench From Dad the Hard Way

Harvest is a week out and the farm picked this week to fall apart. The truck needs a battery, the barn curtain's got a problem, and the corn and beans are telling us we're out of time to get it all fixed.

So it's a full day of wrenching. Tork supervises while I get the truck back running, then we're out at the hog barn where one rusted up part has the whole curtain system hung up. Ladder work, cable work, and a little dad-and-son disagreement about the right way to do it. We close it out walking the fields, shelling beans and checking corn, because whether everything's fixed or not, harvest starts when harvest starts.
