Stotz Equipment & Premier Equipment Announce Cross-Border Partnership

This marks an industry-first, common ownership of John Deere dealerships on both sides of the U.S./Canadian border

Stotz Equipment (2013 Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year) and Premier Equipment have pursued an exciting opportunity to partner, as Premier welcomes investment to continue to strengthen capabilities and position both companies for growth. With a culture-led approach to business, both high-performing John Deere organizations look to this partnership to grow in their regions by gaining unique insights about other markets and leveraging shared resources to better serve their community's evolving needs.

This marks an industry-first, common ownership of John Deere dealerships on both sides of the U.S./Canadian border. This creates a unique opportunity to align the two John Deere dealerships as peers.

“We have a lot of appreciation for Premier, the kind of organization they are, the things they are working on, and we’d like to be part of it,” says Tom Rosztoczy, CEO of Stotz Equipment and a 2024 inductee into Farm Equipment's Dealer Hall of Fame

“This partnership allows us to continue to evolve and invest in our infrastructure so that we are well positioned to serve our customers for a long time,” says Allan Dueck, CEO of Premier Equipment.

As a family-owned dealership, Stotz Equipment has sought to be the best equipment dealer in the world for 76 years and counting. First established in Arizona in 1947, it is now part of local communities in 8 western states, operating 25 locations. Likewise, Premier Equipment began its efforts to be the best John Deere dealer in Canada in the 1950s, and has grown to 8 locations in Southwestern Ontario. This is the next step for both organizations while they continue representing their proud and historic brands in their respective trade areas.

“The consistency of the core values and purpose between the two dealerships made it an easy decision for us to consider partnering with Premier, with the goal of strengthening both organizations,” says Rosztoczy.

The culture and core values within both dealerships are closely aligned and centered around quality, integrity, and care for customers, employees, and the communities they serve. Both organizations have strengths and talent that have contributed to their success and helped to position them as trusted resources in their respective geographies.

“We are excited about this relationship and what it means for our organizations and those we serve,” says Dueck.

The partnership is expected to commence September, 2024, subject to all necessary approvals and due diligence. The current Premier Equipment ownership group and leadership team will remain in place.

Stotz Equipment is on the Farm Equipment Dealer 100™ (a ranking of the top 100 North American farm equipment dealers — by number of locations, which provides information on total and ag stores, brands, geographies served, employees, history, executives and ownership/company profile information).

Video: A Farm Song (Busy) | Parody of A Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey

Lyrics:

My days begin with workin’, Alarm’s at 5 o’clock,
I Fill 5 gallon buckets, The feeders and the troughs,
This five to nine ain’t workin’, why the heck do I work so hard?,
I can’t worry ‘bout health problems, I can sleep in when I’m gone,

One, here comes the two to the three to the four,
Tell em’ ‘buy another cow, we need plenty more’,
Blue jeans are gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
There’s another flock of sheep that still needs feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

I’ve been working pretty stressed but,
I ain’t changing for some cash,
Lord knows that I’m very blessed (More chores),
But I gotta say it’s hard,
Workin’ outside gettin’ charred,
Living out here on the farm, (more chores)

One, here comes the two to the three to the four,
Tell em’ ‘buy another cow, we need plenty more’,
Blue jeans are gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history
There’s another 20 chickens that still need feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Everybody on the farm getting’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,

Fun, here on ranch that’s what you can’t ignore,
Might be pretty hard but I love it to its core,
Flannel’s gettin’ dirty, what else could I ask for,
Oh my, more chores (Tell ‘em sing with me)

Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
There’s another flock of sheep that still needs feed,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Someone pour me up another shot of sweet tea,
They know me and working hard’s got a history,
Watching cattle in the dark, don’t miss me,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
(Yeeeeeehaw)
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
Everybody on the farm gettin’ busy,
It’s the best bro, go get yourself a farm
