Farm Transition and Estate Planning Workshop Planned in Preston

Is planning for the transition of your farm weighing on your mind? Need a path forward to help you think about the options? University of Minnesota Extension will provide a workshop on farm transition and estate planning.

The workshop is free and includes lunch.  It covers farm goal setting; business structures; farm operation and management succession ideas; as well as estate planning and retirement; family communicating; and additional farm transition educational resources.

The free workshop is offered by University of Minnesota Extension.  All farm family members working through a farm transition now or in the future should plan to attend. The resources and information shared during this workshop will benefit all generations and farm types.

Gowan Canada is partnering with Geco Strategic Weed Management to help Canadian growers take a strategic approach to weed control through data-driven prediction and planning.

Geco’s technology uses data and AI to map where weeds have been over the past five years and predict where patches are likely to emerge next season. These insights allow farms and retailers to plan ahead and target actions in the most challenging areas.

That’s what our technology makes possible,” said Greg Stewart, CEO of Geco. “Many of our farms are already using our prescriptions along with Gowan products, so this collaboration is a natural next step.”
